Kimbea gives your business a till that keeps selling even without internet, and an online shop that sells while the shutters are down. Stock, invoices and the books write themselves with every sale.
Nothing is entered twice in Kimbea: a sale rung up at the till becomes, by itself, the customer’s invoice, the stock movement, the ledger entry and the dashboard figure. You enter it once, never twice.
Minimarts, clothing shops, pharmacies, hardware stores, phone shops, drinks depots: businesses that ring up sales all day long and still have to keep books. And those who sell their work as much as their goods: tailoring, repairs, workshops. The catalogue comes ready for your trade, with variants, units of sale, batches and work orders included.
Illustrative photos.
When the network drops, the till keeps ringing up sales and queues them on the device. When the connection returns, every ticket is sent exactly once, never twice.
Your online store lives at your own address and shows the real stock of your shops. Customers order without creating an account, you confirm, then you ring it up at the till like any other sale. It comes included in your plan.
Your services go into the catalogue like any item, and a work order follows every item you take in: the alteration, the phone under repair, the vehicle in the garage. On return, parts and labour go out on the same invoice.
Every operation, whether a sale, a purchase, an expense or a payment, posts its own journal entry under SYSCOHADA or IFRS. The trial balance, balance sheet, income statement and general ledger are read right in the app, with no exports and no re-entry.
| Account | Debit | Credit |
|---|---|---|
| 531Cash | 6 500,00 | — |
| 701Sales of goods | — | 5 508,47 |
| 443State, VAT invoiced | — | 991,53 |
| Totals | 6 500,00 | 6 500,00 |
The net amount and the tax are split at entry time: crediting 701 with the tax-inclusive amount would unbalance the ledger by exactly the VAT.
These screens are not mockups: they are real captures of Kimbea, taken on a real sale. Click the orange dot to follow it from screen to screen.
The trial opens every feature for thirty days, and we help you set up. After that, each size of business has its plan, and in all of them, cash sales carry no commission.
For thirty days every feature is open and we walk you through setup. You judge Kimbea on your own catalogue, your shops and your real selling days.
For the counter that runs from morning to night: the till keeps charging even when the network fails, and the invoice is out in one move.
Everything in Pro, plus the ledger at the end of every sale: for the business that must also keep its books and know who owes it what.
For several points of sale, transfers between warehouses and teams to keep separate. We set the price after looking at your organisation together.
Yes. The catalogue and the cart live on the device: the till keeps ringing up sales off-network and queues them, in plain sight of the cashier. When the connection returns, each ticket is sent with its identifier: if it goes out twice, the server returns the original invoice instead of creating a second one. Only instant QR payment requires the network; when it is down, falling back to cash is one tap away.
No, and that is the whole point of the product (the module is included from the Business plan up). Sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, stock adjustments and payments post their entry the moment they happen, under the standard (SYSCOHADA or IFRS) and the method (cash or accrual) set in the app. The trial balance, balance sheet, income statement and general ledger are read directly, with no export: see SYSCOHADA accounting for a retail business (in French).
Every invoice is numbered, complete, and locked until it is settled. In Benin it is also standardised: prepared and then confirmed with the tax administration’s e-MECeF system, with the code and QR attached. Who is concerned, the mandatory mentions and the penalties are detailed in the standardised invoice guide (in French). Your tax identifier is configured for your business: without it, Kimbea explicitly refuses to standardise rather than issue a non-compliant document.
Several shops, with stock, transfers and permissions walled off shop by shop, and several registers per shop. The same app serves every store, on Android as on iPhone: the cashier types the server address once, then their credentials. Each device carries its own token, revocable from the account: if a phone is lost or an employee leaves, you cut that access without touching the other devices.
Through a CSV or XLSX import, all or nothing: a partially valid file is rejected as a whole rather than half-loaded. Variants (sizes, colours, other attributes) are handled natively, and opening stock is taken over together with its accounting entry. The chart of accounts imports the same way.
Yes. Services go into the catalogue like items, with their price and their tax, and are charged on the same ticket as parts. For work that takes time, a work order follows the customer’s item from check-in to return: the tailor’s alteration, the phone under repair, the vehicle in the garage. On return, parts and labour go out on one invoice, and the accounting follows as it does for any sale.
Yes. The pro forma is numbered, laid out under your business’s letterhead and shared as a PDF. When the customer confirms, it converts into a sale in one move, with the stock, the invoice and the accounting entry following. Until it is converted it touches neither stock nor books: a quote commits nothing.
Yes. Your online shop opens from your preferences, in three steps, at your address and in your colours; it is included in your plan. Your customers order without creating an account, choose in-store pickup or delivery by zone, and follow their order step by step. The stock shown is the real one: whatever is already ordered is no longer offered. You confirm each order, then ring it up at the till like any other sale, and the invoice and the books follow.
The trial lasts 30 days, with every feature open and onboarding included. After that, one plan per size of business: the three amounts are shown in the Pricing section of this page, monthly or yearly; the yearly plan costs ten months for twelve. The Wholesale / Multi plan is priced after a conversation, because it depends on the number of shops and the volumes. Cash sales never carry a commission.
